The Range Rover Sport reaffirms its status as the most exciting and dynamic member of the Land Rover range with a comprehensive package of engineering and design changes for the 2010 model year. The vehicle’s stylish new appearance signals the transformation under the skin, which includes two powerful and efficient new engines – the LR-V8 naturally aspirated and LR-V8 5.0-liter Supercharged, enhanced levels of interior craftsmanship and refinement, and significant improvements to both on-road and off-road driving dynamics.

A comprehensive program of chassis system modifications has transformed the Range Rover Sport’s on-road dynamics, while also delivering a substantial improvement in its off-road capabilities.

The introduction of new systems such as Adaptive Dynamics, working in conjunction with existing Dynamic Response on Supercharged models, and the addition of the road-focused Dynamic program to the Terrain ResponseTM system help enhance agility and ride quality. Further improvements to the Terrain ResponseTM system ensure that off-road capability is kept at the expected class-leading level.

The Range Rover Sport’s stylish, muscular exterior has been updated to provide a cleaner, more sculpted feel. Striking signature LED headlamps combine with a new two-bar grille, front bumpers and fenders to create a more sporting and aerodynamic stance. At the rear, new light clusters and a revised bumper design mirror the smoother front-end.

Land Rover Australia has revealed a new styling package inspired by the 2004 Range Stormer Concept Car. Available only for the 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 or Supercharged models the Stormer kit is priced at $9,990.

Australia has received a bold new kit for its Range Rover Sport fans. Called the Stormer Kit, its look was inspired by the 2004 Range Stormer Concept car which essentially gave birth to the Range Rover Sport range. Stormer kitted examples were first shown at the London International Boat Show two months ago.

Buyers are expected to benefit from styling that is more aggressive than their current vehicles. The look is made of a Stormer front end, honeycomb front grille, 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, body-coloured side cladding, an extended rear spoiler and a rectangular chromed exhaust tips.Three paint finishes are available which are called Santorini Black, Alaska White and Stornoway Grey.

“The Stormer Kit,” said Roger Jory, Land Rover Australia General Manager, “enhances the road presence of the Range Rover Sport through its stylish, yet aggressive stance. It ensures a head turning reaction from all who catch a glimpse.”

The factory-fitted Australian package will add AU$9,990 to the RRP of a new Range Rover Sport TDV6, TDV8, V8 petrol and Supercharged model. Only a limited number of Stormer kits will be sold down under.

Land Rover announced that it offers the Range Rover Sport Stormer kit for the 09MY vehicles on the Australian market. The Range Rover Sport Stormer kit keeps the same lines as the concept car that was unveiled in 2004 and is available for the TDV8 or Supercharged models. The Range Rover Sport Stormer kit includes new front and rear bumpers, an extended rear spoiler, body colored side cladding, new exhaust finishers tips and a radiator grille. The Range Rover Sport Stormer also comes with a Front Park Distance Control (PDC) system. The Range Rover Sport Stormer kit comes in three colors (Santorini Black, Alaska White and Stornoway Grey) and is priced at $9,990.
