2010 Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition
The Japanese company has announced today the Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary price for the North American market where it will go on sale next spring. The Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary is powered by the standard 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine that sends 332 hp to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary comes in two versions, Coupe and Roadster, and in three trim levels, standard, Touring and NISMO.
The 40th Anniversary Edition 370Z is based on the 332-hp 3.7L V6 370Z Coupe Touring and features SynchroRev Match system, a front chin spoiler, a rear spoiler, Nissan Sport Brakes, 19-inch Ray forged aluminum-alloy wheels and a viscous limited-slip differential. It also gets a premium “40th Quartz” exterior color and red leather interior. Other special touches include a high-luster smoke wheel finish, red brake calipers and 40th Anniversary badging on the rear hatch and front strut tower brace.
Available technology features for 2010 include the enhanced Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch-sensitive display, 9.3GB HDD Music Box, USB connectivity and iPod® connection, XM NavTraffic® with Real-Time Traffic Information and XM NavWeather™ (XM® subscription required, sold separately), automatic phonebook download (select phones) and Bluetooth® Streaming Audio; Nissan Intelligent Key™ and a Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System.
We’re not apologizing to Nissan, but we were pretty flippantly dismissive of both the 40th Anniversary Z and the Rogue S Krom Edition. Why? Because both struck as as badge jobs. When we think of special edition Nissans, we think of V-Spec, and that typically entails more power and/or pumped up handling. But not with these two cars. Though at least the Krom gets a new front end, which sadly isn’t nearly as eye-catching as the nose of the not-for-us 2010 Qashqai.
Of course, a 332-hp meal like this doesn’t come at a drive-thru. Grabbing one of these beauties will run you $39,580 to start, a $1200 premium over a similarly equipped Touring model equipped with the Sport package. Sound pretty reasonable for special paint and a custom interior? Then get your wallet out now, because Nissan is only building 1000 copies of the Anniversary car, so get one while the gettin’s good.
